Not too long ago, Stephanie spent the evening with Naples local, Conrad Williams, learning how to blow glass in his home garden!  Conrad walked Stephanie and her partner, Nick, through the entire spectacular process of turning what seems to be a clump of sand and hot lava into a beautiful piece of artwork.  Stephanie and Nick got the opportunity to watch Conrad craft a stunning horse, who even looked a little like our Swifty the Mini Horse! 

After watching Conrad seamlessly create a glass Swifty, it was Stephanie and Nick’s turn to blow some glass!  Stephanie started by melting some sand and glass chunks together to create an ocean blue hue.  She decided to make a bowl, so with the assistance of Conrad, she took the blow tube and went for it!  It came out perfectly! Right after perfection was met, Conrad helped Stephanie place the newest piece of artwork into the annealer, which allows the glass to cool slowly to prevent cracking or shattering.
