Local Highlight: Bar Tulia in Mercato

by | Jan 1, 2021 | Welcome to Naples

Florida summers are absolutely brutal. Anyone you ask how they feel about Florida summers, they would beg for less sun and humidity! Some people head straight to the beach to take a dip in the Gulf of Mexico to cool down, and others seek any sort of air conditioning! But one of the best ways to keep cool and enjoy the Florida sun is to grab a craft cocktail at Bar Tulia in Mercato.

Mercato is a staple fine dining and shopping plaza located on Vanderbilt Beach road and South Tamiami Trail in Naples. Bar Tulia sits right at the start of the Mercato shops underneath the Silverspot Movie Theater. Walking into the restaurant is one of the most unique experiences in itself. You will be transported to a rustic vibe as the staff wears burlap aprons and greet you with a warm welcome. As you take a seat by the bar, you can see how the hand-crafted charcuterie boards are made with fresh-cut meats, cheeses, and anything you can imagine. The brick pizza oven roars as delicate pizzas are put in, and come out with perfection. But what makes this place so special is the craft cocktail menu unmatched to any restaurant in Southwest Florida.

The cocktail menu consists of some of the most unique combinations of herbaceous spices and hints of fruitiness with the smoothest liquor. For example, the Basil Advice cocktail is a perfectly balanced combination of vodka, aperol, grapefruit, lemon, and basil to give you a refreshing drink to cool off from the heat. Also available is the Stanchez, a mixture of Reposado, Montenegro, peach, line, and habanero. This kick of heat from the habanero won’t send you too far back into the Florida sun, as it gives you just enough flavor to make this cocktail one of the best on the menu.

Bar Tulia is the perfect place to bring a bunch of family and friends together to relax and enjoy some of the unique cocktails and beautiful meals. You are sure to find something you’ll love and it will keep you going back for years to come.
